Late Night Workouts
I’M TRYING TO GET a little resistance workout in every day — basically, arms, abs, with some miscellany on one day, followed by pushups, shoulders on the next day. The idea is to give the major muscle groups a bit of rest on the off days. In the meantime, I’m trying to either play some basketball or hit the heavy bag to get the fuller body aerobic workout in — bursts of intense activity to try to get the fat burning ignited.
The point? I’m busy with way too much to do lately, so by the time I get to working out, it’s 11:30 p.m. Far from optimal. And so is a lack of sleep. Too much stress, and my body will react as if it’s hard times in cave man days and start trying harder to store fat — the exact opposite of what I want, of course.
Still, a late night workout has to be better than no workout at all, right?

Getting that resistance exercise is crucial to keep the fat burning engine going. If you don’t have a lot of time, check out circuit training. It’s perfect for those who have too much to do in too little time.
